Intelsat: Q3 in-flight-connectivity revenue up 28% from Q2; transponder-lease, media businesses continue decline

PARIS — Satellite fleet operator Intelsat, in Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring for nearly 18 months, reported a 3.6% in revenue for the three months ending Sept. 30 compared to the previous three months, with the Commercial Aviation business, the former Gogo Inc. asset, providing one of the few bright spots.

Intelsat’s mobility businesses, and particularly in-flight connectivity, has been severely hit by the Covid pandemic.

If Q3 results are any indication, the turnaround in North American commercial air travel appears solidly under way . . .
