Intelsat Chapter 11 logbook: Advisors and lawyers aplenty, but saving on satellite insurance by not renewing it

PARIS — Like all bankruptcies, Intelsat’s Chapter 11 reorganization throws into public view a wealth of information about the company’s internal functioning and priorities.

Under the administration of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Intelsat is required to disclose, if not seek prior authorization for, just about every dime it spends, or stops spending.
