AAC Clyde to acquire Dutch smallsat component builder Hyperion Technologies for $2.55 million, mainly in stock

PARIS — Small satellite builder AAC Clyde Space is purchasing smallsat component builder Hyperion Technologies BV of The Netherlands for $2.55 million, mainly in stock, or 1.5 times implied 2020 revenue.

Sweden- and Scotland-based AAC had been teasing about a likely U.S. acquisition as a way to tap into the world’s biggest government market, but instead elected to first stop in Holland, which like the United Kingdom and Sweden is a member of the 22-nation European Space Agency (ESA).
