Indonesia/PSN, on course to digital sovereignty, orders 160-Gbps Nusantara Lima/HBS satellite from Boeing

PARIS — Indonesia’s PSN Group, reinforcing its ambition to be a major regional provider of high-throughput satellite capacity, has contracted with Boeing Satellite Systems to build a 160-Gbps satellite called Nusantara Lima to launch with SpaceX in 2023.

The satellite, a Boeing 702MP model, will augment existing broadband capacity over Indonesia as part of the government’s ambitious universal-coverage plan. Combined with the 150-Gbps Satria satellite, being built by Thales Alenia Space, Nusantara Lima will give PSN . . .
