PARIS — In-space-transportation service provider Momentus Space, which in 18 months has raised about $50 million, expects its first Vigoride vehicle to fly in December on the inaugural launch of SpaceX’s new dedicated rideshare program.

The SpaceX formula is intended to provide the low-cost advantage of rideshare without the inconvenience of being dependent on a primary satellite customer.

Momentus has several customers on this mission, the latest being Swarm Technologies, a satellite IoT startup that already has nine very small . . .
