Gov, industry players assess Europe’s Iris2 constellation status: Initial version in 2029, full capability 2032; final decision in April

BRUSSELS — European government and industry partners in the Iris2 multi-orbit secure communications constellation gave frank assessments of where the program stands.

Predictably for such a complex project and ownership structure — a public-private partnership serving multiple government and commercial markets — there was good anecdotal evidence less-good news here Jan. 27-28 at the 18th European Space Conference.
