For debt-free Spire Global, radio-frequency detection, geolocation and translation is a new investment priority

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Multi-payload satellite fleet operator Spire Global, newly debt-free and with more than $100 million in cash, said it is focusing its investment on developing its Space Reconnaissance business to detect, locate and translate communications even in noisy environments.

The service, which Spire announced in July, is now accounting for a disproportionate share of spontaneous customer interest, Chief Executive Theresa Condor said in an Aug. 13 investor call.
