Finnish hyperspectral imaging startup Kuva Space raises $17.5M; constellation to ramp starting in 2024

LA PLATA, Maryland — Satellite hyperspectral imaging constellation operator Kuva Space of Finland, apparently unfazed by the generally tough financing environment, raised 16.6 million euros ($17.5 million) new and existing investors.

Kuva, which has three test satellites in orbit, will be launching the first two operational satellites next year on its way to providing initial service by the end of the year. The latest financing round brings Kuva’s total funding to 22.5 million euros.
