On 25 June, the European Commission published its proposal for an EU Space Act. The draft Regulation, almost 100 pages, comes with 36 pages of Annexes and a two-part Impact Assessment of over 250 pages. The proposed legislation is now in the ordinary legislative procedure, and first meetings with Council and Parliament have already taken place. The Commission expects a procedure of up to 2 years, which will likely lead to intensive discussions and substantial changes to the original draft.
