LA PLATA, Maryland — Canada’s telecommunications agency is asking the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to consider the propulsion-system defect on Kepler Communications’ two Pathfinder satellites as a force majeure event merits an extension of Kepler’s in-service deadline.
Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is asking that Kepler’s current deadline of June 28 to launch 10% of its planned future constellation be extended to March 31, 2026.
