ABS, Eutelsat, Hispasat ask FCC to consider effect of proposed C-band payout on global satcom market

PARIS — Satellite fleet operators ABS, Hispasat and Eutelsat asked U.S. regulators to consider the effect on the global satellite telecommunications market of a multibillion-dollar payout to their competitors, Intelsat and SES, even though it would have little bearing on the U.S. market.
