Yahsat reports flat revenue, EBITDA for 2021 after strong Q4 showing & rebound of Thuraya’s mobility markets

PARIS — Fixed and mobile satellite fleet operator Yahsat reported mixed results for 2021, with overall flat revenue but with some segments, including its Data Solutions’ consumer broadband business, showing rebounds late in the year.

Abu Dhabi-based Yahsat, which depends on the UAE for more than 80% of its revenue, is leveraging its cash-rich home market to develop a global broadband business jointly with Hughes Network Systems in Brazil, Africa, the Middle East and Southwest Asia.
