Viasat’s Inmarsat: Revenue up 10% in 2023; all divisions grew; possible showdown with Ligado over payment delays

LA PLATA, Maryland —Fixed and mobile satellite broadband hardware and service provider Viasat Inc.’s Inmarsat subsidiary reported a 10% increase in revenue in 2023 following growth in all its divisions and a return to the market of its satellite telephone handsets.

In its 2023 annual report, published May 9, Inmarsat said the loss of its Inmarsat-6 F2 L-band satellite, while it was still in its post-launch orbit-raising phase, will force the company to maintain in service its Inmarsat I-3 satellites, which were launched . . .
