Estimates have ranged from 9,000 kilograms or more — similar to Hughes Network Systems’s coming 500-Gbps Jupiter 3 broadband satellite — to 6,000 kilograms, which is the approximate mass that Viasat Inc. gave for all three Viasat-3 satellites.
