Sweden’s SSC: Collaboration between our Esrange and Norway’s Andoya startup spaceports may be the smart play

PARIS — At some point the half-dozen European startup spaceports now being developed will confront the fact that no more than one or two of them can survive, if that many.

European government demand is not that large, and it will difficult for the new spaceports to compete with Europe’s well-established Guiana Space Center in South America, which has the advantage of the backing of the French and European space agencies and the disadvantage of being far form the European continent.
