JAKARTA — The Airbus-owned AALTO HAPS Ltd. startup commercializing the Airbus-built Zephyr stratospheric platform for connectivity and Earth observation services has secured its first big outside investor with a $100-million equity purchase by a four-company Japanese consortium.
Mobile network operator NTT Docomo, Space Compass Corp. with Mizuho Bank and Development Bank of Japan, is making their investment through through HAPS Japan Corp. These companies entered into an MoU with Airbus in 2022.
