PARIS — Startup nano satellite telecommunications fleet operator Sky and Space Global Ltd. (SAS) has secured a $30 million, five-year contract with Nigeria-based mobile payment and messaging app BeepTool in what SAS said was a key milestone in developing its 200-satellite network by 2020.
Under the contract, BeepTool will finance, in advance, part of the cost of end-user devices and provide a minimum usage commitment to SAS, including a security deposit for the prepayments.
The 60-month deal may be cancelled by BeepTool in the event . . .
