SES says it increased its global TV reach in 2017, but the market doesn’t care

PARIS — Satellite fleet operator SES on April 4 published its annual survey of global TV penetration and, as in previous years, portrayed the findings as good news for SES and for satellite television in general.

Top-line results were encouraging, showing an 8% growth, to 351 million, in the number of households that received SES broadcasts in one form or another.
