SES CEO: Our mPower constellation has enormous potential for the U.S. government and the European Union

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — Satellite fleet operator SES's $2 billion investment in Ka-band broadband satellites began with the October 2021 launch of the large geostationary-orbit SES-17 satellite over the Americas and is now on track for initial service of the medium-Earth-orbit O3b mPower constellation in the second half of 2023.

The first two Boeing-built mPower satellites were launched Dec. 16 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Two more pairs are scheduled for launch in January and February . . .
