Satellite IoT startup Astrocast: Semiconductor supply OK for 2022 ramp; we’ve proved collision-avoidance capability

PARIS —Satellite-IoT startup Astrocast SA said it had shipped commercial development kits to customers in eight nations to begin trials of its service with the 10 satellites now in orbit.

For the first five of these satellites, launched in January, 14 customers have begun testing. The company, which is still in pre-revenue phase, expects to begin volume shipments of customer hardware in early 2022.

In a Sept. 30 presentation to investors, Astrocast said its service had been authority in more than 25 nations.
