Satellite antenna builder Swissto12 raises $18.5 million from VC/PE investors, teams with Tyvak for min-GEO product

PARIS — Satellite 3D-built payload-component provider Swissto12 has raised $18.5 million in Series B financing from three private-equity and venture-capital companies to position itself for a growing business in LEO broadband constellations and micro-GEO satellites.

Swissto12 has launched its first payload hardware in space — parts of a deployable Ka-band antenna on the AAC Clyde Space-built NSLSat-1 6U cubesat owned by NSLComm of Israel — and it is reported to functioning as designed after its July launch aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket:
