Satelite lasercom builder Mynaric reports production delay, but says it’s still in time for constellation wave

LUXEMBOURG β€” Satellite-, airborne- and ground-based laser communications terminal manufacturer Mynaric AG fell short of its financial targets in 2018, saying it had withheld its air terminal from commercial delivery to bring it to a higher technology readiness.

Deliveries are now scheduled this year, which the company said is early enough to be β€œthe only company globally to offer mature and deployable laser communications products for airborne applications.”

Munich-based Mynaric, which is 2018 said it signed an MoU with an unnamed company planning a 300-satellite . . .
