Russian satellite industry: We’re 60% through our sanctions-forced import substitution program

LA PLATA, Maryland — The Russian satellite industry, which has been reorganizing itself to mitigate the effect of Ukraine war-caused sanctions that have sharply reduced its non-Russian supply chain, has been able to replace 60% of satellite imports that are now longer available to it, according to Russia’s largest telecommunications satellite fleet operator.
