Rocket Lab: Covid shutdown of New Zealand spaceport to limit 2021 revenue to $52M — not the $69M promised before its IPO

PARIS — Small satellite service and launch provider Rocket Lab will fall far short of its revenue forecast this year because of the New Zealand government’s shutdown of the company’s launch site as part of the nation’s Covid response.

Rocket Lab operates a spaceport in New Zealand, with a second site there expected to come on line in the coming months.

A third launch pad, at Wallops Island, Virginia, is about complete but awaiting NASA certification. That certification is expected to be done . . .
