Playing against type: ESA official has nothing but praise for SpaceX and Starlink

PARIS— In the United States, the path of least resistance lies in praising SpaceX’s Elon Musk and all his works, no matter what.

In Europe, the easy route is portraying SpaceX as a villainous enterprise. Even the February 2018 launch of a Tesla roadster with the Starman dummy driver on a Falcon Heavy vehicle to orbit the Sun was criticized in Europe as disgraceful orbital pollution.
