OHB rev up 17% in Q1 to start what looks like ‘a very good year’ for space spending in Germany

LA PLATA, Maryland — Space hardware manufacturer OHB Group said it was confident that the new German government, installed on May 6, would proceed with a large increase in space spending with the help of the country’s first ministry with a clearly defined space portfolio.

“OHB and the whole space industry in Germany is very happy that we now have a space minister, Dorothee Bär, a significant upgrading of space in Germany,” OHB Chairman Marco R. Fuchs said in a May 8 investor call.
