NATO Commercial space policy expected this year, will backstop alliance’s diverse and growing space efforts

LA PLATA, Maryland — The 32-nation NATO alliance expects to publish a commercial space strategy this year to backstop its increasing involvement in supporting space startups and assembling a “virtual constellation” of reconnaissance satellites to owned by others to complement its long-standing use of member nations’ satellite telecommunications assets.
