Mobile satellite service provider Ovzon reports 19% revenue increase & wider operating loss, says satellite is delayed again

PARIS — Government mobile-satcom hardware and service provider Ovzon AB of Sweden reported a 19% increase in revenue in 2021 but also a doubling of its operating loss and said its already much-delayed Ovzon- 3 satellite had been delayed again.

Ovzon-3, a 1,500-kilogram satellite using Maxar Technologies’ new Legion-class platform and an Ovzon-provided on-board processor, is now scheduled to launch in the second half of 2022 aboard a European Ariane 5 rocket, Ovzon told shareholders on Feb. 18.
