Maritime satcom provider KVH plots complicated way forward with Starlink, customers’ move to streaming

TUPPER LAKE, NY — Maritime satellite hardware and service provider KVH Industries Inc. is negotiating a difficult path to business stability as it tries to blunt the impact of the SpaceX Starlink service on leisure and commercial markets and reduce costs as its customers shift to streaming and quit television.

After a broad cost-cutting program implemented in 2022, the company has decided not to seek to sell itself or merge with another connectivity player.
