KVH (with Iridium) battle vs Inmarsat for maritime ‘hearts and minds’ heats up this year

LOGAN, Utah — Maritime satellite connectivity and entertainment provider KVH Industries said its year-old satcom-as-a-service AgilePlans continued to grow faster than KVH’s ability to serve it but that production bottlenecks had been overcome and a material revenue uptick should occur this year.

KVH has promised great things from AgilePlans previously, but comments from competitor Inmarsat tend to confirm KVH’s optimism despite the company’s refusal to provide many hard numbers.
