Intelsat: In-flight-services revenue up 17% in 2023; overall satellite lease prices stable

LA PLATA, Maryland — Satellite fleet operator Intelsat reported a 17% boost in in-flight service revenue in 2023, to $409.3 million, on increased use if its services by airline customers and a sharp rise in the number of 2 Ku satellite terminals and air-to-ground units sold for installation on aircraft.

The services revenue was up 14%, to $314.9 million, while the equipment revenue rose by 31% to $94.5 million, Intelsat said in its 2023 annual report, published May 9.
