PARIS — The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is urging the geospatial imagery sector to focus on high-resolution thermal imaging satellites to enable the agency to inspect areas that are difficult to assess with optical or radar satellites.
Marc Lafitte, head of IAEA’s State Infrastructure Analysis Section, said the arrival of 30-cm-resolution optical imagery has allowed IAEA inspectors to get about as far as they can with optical sensors.
