Hughes Network Systems CEO on OneWeb’s post-Chapter 11 future with Bharti Global

PARIS — Satellite broadband hardware and service provider Hughes Network Systems invested $50 million in OneWeb equity in 2015 and eventually booked some $300 million in contracts for OneWeb’s ground segment.

Five years later, Hughes is investing another $50 million in the post-Chapter 11 OneWeb, to be owned mainly by the British government and by India’s Bharti Global.
