GomSpace’s A&M ups capex for maritime AIS, aircraft-tracking ADS-B constellation to $10 million

PARIS — GomSpace A/S of Sweden and Denmark will add four more satellites to the original four-satellite order it received from its subsidiary, Aerial & Maritime Ltd., which is planning a constellation of ADS-B and AIS aircraft and maritime-monitoring satellites.

GomSpace said Dec. 18 that the new contract was valued at $4 million. Like the previous contract, valued at $6 million and signed in December 2016, GomSpace is responsible for the satellites’ construction and launch, a ground infrastructure and the constellation’s initial commissioning.
