LA PLATA, Maryland — If a rising tide lifts all boats, then maybe a tidal wave of market enthusiasm drowns all skeptics, at least for awhile.

That’s one way to look at the recent silence of satellite entrepreneur Tom Choi, a founder of GEO fleet operator ABS and currently chairman of Curvalux and Saturn Satellite Networks.

Choi publicly trashed LEO broadband constellations’ business model and said geostationary-orbit fleet operators, even the regional players, would be able to mount a successful resistance.
