Faster satellite tasking, thermal imagery, more-persistent coverage top EMSA’s priorities

PARIS— The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) has a budget of nearly $70 million to spend on commercial satellite imagery and is asking commercial providers for ideas on how to improve revisit time and to expand their thermal-imaging portfolios.

Ground sampling distance and satellite video are second-order priorities.
