EU Parliament adopts 7-year, $18-billion space budget. What comes next will be harder

PARIS — The European Parliament’s final approval of a seven-year space budget settles one of the easier space policy issue facing the European Commission. Now comes the hard part.

The Parliament on April 28 adopted the regulation confirming the EU’s space budget of 14.88 billion euros ($18 billion) between 2021 and 2027. Once entered into the Official Journal, it will take effect and be made retroactive to Jan. 1 of this year.
