PARIS — Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Etienne Schneider, making good on hints he has dropped for several months, will resign is position on Feb. 4 in what he said is an effort to focus on his family and personal life.

That’s what politicians usually say when they are being forced out of office. But in Schneider’s case, it appears to be the case: He’s had enough after 10 years in government and now wants something else.
