ESA seeking least an 18% increase, to $22.3 billion, in its 3-year budget, to be approved in November

LA PLATA, Maryland — The European Space Agency (ESA) is preparing ask its member governments in November to finance a three-budget of at least 20 billion euros ($22.3 billion), which would be an 18.2% increase over the last budget set in November 2022.

With six months remaining until the ministerial, there can be no certainty given the budget stresses in some of ESA’s 23 member nations, particularly France. France and Germany are ESA’s two biggest contributors.
