PARIS — An ESA advisory group asked to propose a vision for European human and robotic space exploration has produced a report that focuses more on technology autonomy and space-based security than on a roadmap for a European astronaut program to the Moon and elsewhere.

As such, it is a fitting complement to the European Commission’s recent space strategy for security and defense.
