Comtech’s new CEO promises ‘urgent’ reorganization, says separating satellite & terrestrial divisions makes no sense

PARIS — Satellite ground hardware provider Comtech Telecommunications Corp.’s new chief executive, Ken Peterman, with a background at Viasat Inc., promised an “entirely new chapter at Comtech” after the abrupt departure his predecessor, Michael Porcelain.

Peterman spent the bulk of a Sept. 29 investor call and the company’s shareholder letter describing the transformation only in broad strokes and cited few details about what he said would be an urgent redirection for the company.
