Azerbaijan acknowledges Azersky/Spot-7 loss, appears to have selected Israel’s IAI for 2-satellite, $120M successor

LAMPOLDSHAUSEN, Germany — Azerbaijan’s space agency, Azercosmos, acknowledged the failure of its Azersky optical Earth observation satellite, also known as Spot-7, but said it would continue to serve customers with the twin Spot 6, which is owned by Airbus Defence and Space.
