LA PLATA, Maryland — Rocket and missile builder Avio SpA reported a 37% increase in revenue for the three months ending March 31 as the Vega-C medium-lift and the Ariane 6 heavy-lift rockets posted successful flights that permitted routine production operations.
Italy-based Avio is prime contractor for Vega-C and this year takes over from Arianespace as Vega’s sales agent and launch-service provider.
The company’s backlog stood at 1.7 billion euros ($1.84 billion) as of March 31 . . .
