At 193-nation WRC-23 conference on spectrum, satellite and terrestrial sectors both leave (more or less) satisfied

LA PLATA, Maryland — The World Radiocommunication Conference- 2023 (WRC-23) ended Dec. 15 with what looks like a surprising consensus that neither the satellite nor the terrestrial wireless sector could claim total victory.

It should be obvious that as satellite telecommunications gradually becomes a part of the global 5G and future 6G broadband landscape, terrestrial and non-terrestrial technologies will be working to complement each other. They will some to see themselves as partners, not just adversaries.
