AST SpaceMobile, on the heels of launch delays, promises to launch at least 19 satellites by December

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Startup satellite direct-to-device (D2D) broadband provider AST SpaceMobile’s launch schedule again slipped, with its first second-generation, Block 2 Bluebird satellite to launch solo on an Indian rocket no earlier than September.

The company expects further launches of Block 2 Bluebirds to commence within weeks of the first satellite’s launch, with each rocket carrying between six and eight satellites. These launches are also several months behind the scheduled announced in May.
