Amazon contracts for 68 launches with Arianespace, Blue Origin, ULA for Kuiper broadband constellation

PARIS — Amazon’s multibillion-dollar Project Kuiper announced firm contracts for 68 heavy-lift launches aboard Arianespace’s Ariane 64 (18 flights), Blue Origin’s New Glenn (12) and the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Vulcan Centaur (38) to occur between 2023 and 2027.

Announced April 5, it is by far the biggest commercial launch commitment ever made, dwarfing the 2015 contract between Arianespace and OneWeb for 21 launches aboard Russian-built Soyuz rockets. That deal was valued at about $1.2 . . .
