LA PLATA, Maryland — Airbus said it is assessing “all strategic options” for its space division, including a restructuring and merger and acquisitions, following a decision to book 900 million euros ($962 million) in charges against Q2 2024 earnings after uncovering new risks in telecommunications and navigation satellite contracts.
Airbus had already booked 600 million euros in charges for these programs in the company’s 2023 accounts. The company told investors in February that this would clear out the uncertainties in several unnamed, long-term satellite programs.
