AAC Clyde, Saab & Orbcomm, with Swedish government seed financing, to build global maritime navigation constellation

CARSAC DE GURSON, France —Smallsat builder  AAC Clyde Space, IoT service provider Orbcomm and satellite maritime vessel tracking payload builder Saab AB plan to leverage a Swedish government grant to build a constellation of commercial cubesats to provide VHF Data Exchange System (VDES) transmissions to maritime customers.
