LA PLATA, Maryland — The European Space Agency (ESA) has put the entire package of program proposals for the next three years through a detailed review to determine cost, schedule and technology risk and has returned with 22 billion euros ($25.5 billion) in program proposals to be presented to its governments in November.
The review is the first detailed all-of-agency assessment of ESA’s projects by the Independent Program Authority (IPMA), created in mid-2023 in response to a request from its 23 member governments.
