LA PLATA, Maryland — Planet Labs has won multi-year contract with the German government valued at 240 million euros ($282 million) to provide dedicated capacity and direct-downlink access to Planet’s fleet of Pelican high-resolution satellites, now being deployed.
The contract comes as European governments are designing their own constellation of high-resolution satellites. Design and development will start with an initial tranche of 1 billion euros . . .
